I love what I do. Sharing the special occasion of a wedding is always a privilege (and one that I don’t take lightly); it is challenging but extremely gratifying to transform the experiences, visual details and atmosphere of the day into photographic images that are works of art. I’m continually learning new skills and developing new ways of seeing things to further my own style.
People who hate being in front of a camera often comment on how relaxed I make them feel. Wedding guests, in particular, frequently remark on how unobtrusive I am! It’s easy for me, because I’m passionate about working with people and helping them to capture the memories and moods of their celebration.
If, like me, you’re always curious to see the face behind a website, then you might like to see me “on the other side of the lens”. This is me getting a taste of my own medicine at my own wedding 3 years ago. Apparently I haven’t changed too much since then. I’m the one with the veil in case you were wondering!
Over the last four years I have gained extensive experience as a professional photographer. I have worked in South Africa and abroad – mostly in the UK – doing both studio portraits and shooting weddings. I’m now based in Cape Town but I undertake commissions anywhere in South Africa (from Johannesburg to the Garden Route), across Africa and further afield
