Janet and Nic at Silvermist
I arrived a bit early at Silvermist to check out the location and was told by the security guard to mind out for snakes. “Last week they found a king cobra right by reception and there are some other big guys around – watch your step!” Just what you want to hear when you're going to go cruising around to find spots to shoot. On your own. With semi-open shoes.
In case you're wondering, in addition to not really loving cows up close, snakes are not really a firm favourite of mine. What can I say? I'm a Sandton girl at heart. Anyway, the cloak of snake-fear quickly vanished as I witnessed how truly beautiful the connection between Nic and Janet is and how much they absolutely adore each other. It doesn't hurt to photograph a gorgeous couple either and it's a real bonus when the groom has mastered his 'blue steel' look! A few images for today:

Jules, your photography is absolutely magnificent - you have encapsulated our spectacular property beautifully - so sorry about the 'by the way watch out for snakes' from my security team - they certainly know how to make you feel, well, um relaxed on our mountain!
As General Manager of this gorgeus property, I am totally blown away by your creativity and vision!!
