tell your story.jpg

My passion lies in capturing all the elements that tell a complete and original story of your wedding day, from the once-off moments shared with family and friends to the details that you’ve been planning for months – the dresses, the flowers, the tables, the decorations, the food, the venue.

as it happens.jpg

As a reportage-style photographer, I take care to work inconspicuously so that you and your guests can enjoy the day. I catch all the spontaneous emotions and the unplanned events, and I make sure that my session with the bridal couple is completely relaxed and fun.

Photographs are the most tangible reminders of your wedding day, and remain valuable for generations to come. Depict your story with my distinct style: fresh, funky and artistic.

"Hold the knife, look here and smile please"...

...is a phrase that will hopefully never pass my lips at a wedding I shoot. Nor will I ever ask you to cheesily smile at me with a perfectly positioned bouquet whilst signing the register in the church - or actually to interrupt in any of the 'official' proceedings of your day. I have been to weddings as a guest where photographers have shunted people around, told them where to stand and what to do - all to throw the bouquet to get the safe posed shot for the album. I like seeing how differently people do things; your wedding is unique and so your photos should reflect your individuality. Isn't a shot like this much more fun than a rigid posed photo of the couple holding the cake knife and saying cheese? Just a note though - although for most of the day I will be a fly on the wall, I do also love shooting fun and creative 'directed portraits' where I'll tell you what to do, where, and then see how you do it naturally... alot of the couple images you see on this site are some of these.

Admired in Africa
With the summer season having been so busy it had slipped to the back of my mind that I had been interviewed in an online wedding magazine called Admired in Africa. I was really flattered to be featured as there are some other amazing wedding photographers interviewed so I was stoked to be ranked amongst them.

Fujifilm Professional Awards

A few months ago I thought I would enter some photos in to the Fujifilm Professional 2007 Awards for the first time. I was pretty stoked this morning to see that a few of my images had won awards in several different categories.
